MEET THE STAFF

Kayla A. Albertson

Attorney

"We need to teach how doubt is not to be feared but welcomed. It's OK to say, 'I don't know.'"

— Richard P. Feynman

The best legal problems are the ones that never happen.

That's the philosophy Kayla built Albertson Legal around. Instead of waiting for life to get messy, she helps individuals, families, and business owners put thoughtful plans in place so they can spend less time worrying about "what if?" and more time enjoying what's in front of them.

Kayla believes legal advice shouldn't require a translator. Whether she's walking a client through an estate plan, helping someone start a business, or untangling a real estate issue, her goal is always the same: make complicated things understandable, practical, and maybe even a little less intimidating.

Around the office, you'll probably hear laughter coming from a conference room, find a dog making itself at home, or see Kayla sketching out legal concepts on a whiteboard because sometimes a picture explains things better than another page of legal jargon. (Don't worry—the actual legal documents are considerably more polished.)

When she's not practicing law, she's usually chasing her toddler, hiking with her dogs, reading whatever book has currently captured her attention, or convincing herself that buying another coffee somehow counts as self-care.

If you're looking for an attorney who speaks in plain English, believes planning should feel empowering—not overwhelming—and genuinely enjoys helping people solve problems before they become crises, you'll fit right in.

When Abigail isn’t juggling one of the several tasks she tackles for the firm, she enjoys spending time with her husband and hounds, sinking into a good novel, solving a puzzle, or toiling away on one of the seemingly endless projects that come with being a new homeowner.

Cory W. Taylor

Legal Assistant

“If you want something you can have it, but only if you want everything that goes with it, including all the hard work and the despair, and only if you're willing to risk failure.”

— Philip Pullman

While pursuing a Paralegal Studies degree at Casper College, Cory Taylor supports Albertson Legal's administrative and operational functions in a wide range of capacities.

Assisting with the drafting of documents, client relations, and other day-to-day operations, he ensures the efficient delivery of legal services that support the firm's long-term success.

When Cory is not at the office he spends as much time as possible with his favorite person in the entire world and their furry kiddos up on the mountain, in their backyard, or just about anywhere outdoors.
